Tracker + Kristen | 1851 Vineyards Proposal

Tracker and Kristen had been dating seven and a half years. So when Tracker suggested they take a trip to Fredericksburg for a wine tour and tasting, a proposal wasn't exactly on Kristen's mind. Little did she know, Tracker and I had been planning this special little outing for some time now.

Since it was noon on a Friday, the winery hadn't had the weekend rush yet, so the ONLY people in the tasting room were Tracker, Kristen, a couple employees and my husband, daughter and I. Needless to say, I like to be undercover so the girls won't expect that I am a photographer, but it can be pretty obvious when the photographer is the only other one in the room! I thought in my car it might not be crowded inside so I stuffed my camera in the diaper bag and went inside. When I realized Tracker and Kristen were the only ones in there, I just pretended we were customers trying out a new winery for the first time and we took our place behind where Tracker and Kristen were sitting. When they went on their tour around the winery, it was go time! The winery employees quickly set up the wine barrel and chairs outside and I stood guard behind a tree where Kristin couldn't see me.

Minutes later, Tracker and Kristen make their way out to the cute wine table under the oak tree and I could tell Kristen still wasn't expecting a thing! After sharing a glass of wine together, I saw Tracker take a deep breath and kneel down to grab the ring out of his boot. Kristen thought he was just fixing the bottom of his jeans so when he popped up with a ring in hand, she screamed "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Out of pure excitement she kept saying "Oh my gosh" over and over. Seven and a half years of dating and their engagement day was finally here.

I just love proposals. They bring up such sweet memories of when Ben proposed to me at w winery in town only a couple years ago. Congratulations Tracker and Kristen, I am SO happy for you both! Enjoy some favorites from the day!
