Derek + Lauren | Engaged

Proposals have quickly become one of my favorite things to photograph. I must admit it is a tad more nerve wracking since we don't have as much control over how it all plays out but the staff at William Chris Winery made it so seamless.

Derek and Lauren were on a getaway weekend to Fredericksburg and what Lauren thought was just a tasting turned into a lifelong memory. While on a tour around the winery, one of the staff members led Derek and Lauren to the barrel room where they had a table and their favorite wine set up. Derek got on one knee and said some of the sweetest things to her before asking her to marry him! And Lauren of course said "Yes!" She was so happy.

After the proposal, one of the owners of William Chris came up to give his congratulations and we got to explore in the property taking pictures for a while. Derek and Lauren were SO fun to photograph and they said they now definitely need to have some William Chris wine at their wedding!

If you haven't gotten the chance to go visit William Chris, I highly suggest it! My favorite wine is the Skeleton Key but you really can't go wrong with any of them!
